Jubilee Scotland campaigns for global debt justice by raising awareness and co-ordinating action within Scotland. As a coalition of NGO’s and Churches we act as the focal point within Scotland for those campaigning on the issue of debt. Our targets focus primarily on the UK government as a bilateral creditor and supporter of British commercial interests as well as the UK’s position in the IFI’s. Jubilee Scotland works closely with other campaigners from for example in Mali, Malawi and Indonesia.

Jubilee Scotland believes strongly in the combination of education and action in exposing the different aspects of debt injustice. This is based around specific campaigns on unjust debt and conditionality in challenging the workings of global finance in order to resolve outstanding problems of debt, to head off future crises, and to expose new problems.
