Aktion Finanzplatz Schweiz (AFP) was founded in 1978 and since then has done research, information and advocacy work in favour of the countries of the South. The organisation has a proven track record in fighting money-laundering and dealing with assets of dictators from Third World countries found inSwiss bank accounts. Furthermore, it isinvolved in the campaign for debt cancellation and repatriation in South Africa.

For many years AFP has also been engaged in the field of odious debts. The organisation currently focuses on the legal aspects of the odious debts doctrine and would like to contribute to the implementation of generally accepted mechanisms for the cancellation of odious debts.

AFP is financed by individual members and supporting organisations and by project related grants of different foundations.
